Aja was pleasantly shocked to be told that she'd be sharing a set with fellow Yale alumna, Da’Vine Joy Randolph. “It was nice to get to paintings close to each other, I should say, on this challenge,” Aja told Distractify through phone, as their reunion was short-lived.

“No lifeline lifelong bonds have been ready to shape because we started filming this proper in March of 2020. We went in to work sooner or later, we are all like getting to know each and every other's energies and stuff,” the actress recalled. “Everyone was so sweet.”

“That was the last thing I was filming prior to the pandemic hit,” she stated.

For the next 12 months, Aja stored a low profile. But it seems that, she managed to keep busy. By the time filming resumed the following 12 months, Aja was “very far along” in her pregnancy with her first kid. This simplest heightened her anxieties about coming back to paintings.

Upon her return, her maternal instincts kicked in right away. “Oh, it was hilarious. Because 2021 was so like, COVID-ish … And [I was] pregnant,” Aja mentioned with a laugh.

“I'm like, I don't actually know how comfy I am … even at the inexperienced screen set. Everyone's in mask and the entirety, but I'm nonetheless like, ‘OK, we just want to get out of right here.’”

Aja and her husband, Dan King, welcomed their son — Kian King — in June of that same year. In her interview with us, Aja also talked about motherhood and the most important lesson she wants to teach her children.
