Season 2 of the Sex and the City reboot And Just Like That has been filled with surprises inside the romance department. After dropping the love of her existence, John “Mr. Big” Preston (Chris Noth), Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) reunited with her 2d largest love, Aidan Shaw (John Corbett). Additionally, after much begging and pleading on social media, we FINALLY were given Che and Miranda’s dating out of there.

Amid the new pairings of old fanatics and the downfall of what seemed like a blossoming romance, AJLT gave fans a pair none people noticed coming. I imply, NO ONE!

Miranda stuck her son, Brady (Niall Cunningham) and Charlotte's daughter, Lily (Cathy Ang) being too close in Season 2, Ep. 9, “There Goes the Neighbourhood.”

For no matter reason, the episode recommended that Brady and Lily would possibly change into more than mere acquaintances whose moms happen to be BFFs. And for the lifetime of me, I have no idea why AJLT thinks it is a good idea for those two to get in combination.

Why Brady and Lily’s possible dating is a bad concept.

In Season 2, Brady and Lily are going through breakups, with Brady being dumped by way of his longtime female friend, Luisa (Cree), and Lily finishing things with her boyfriend, Blake. Brady had problem with his breakup and had Miranda, and Steve nervous he may harm himself.

During Thursday’s episode, Miranda is also involved that her son will not be motivated enough to wait faculty. So, she asked Charlotte to talk to Lily about perhaps helping Brady make a selection a faculty to make “Aunt Miranda” forestall worrying. Lily then reminds Charlotte that she and Brady are “two years apart” and haven’t hung out since they had been 12. Again, why is THIS taking place??

Lily and Brady come to a decision to meet up a couple of nights later, and issues obviously move smartly. As Miranda goes to Brady and Steve’s position to avoid interrupting her new roomie Nya’s (Karen Pittman) sexcapades with a Tinder hottie, she runs into Lily wearing not anything but a shirt on her way to the bathroom. Immediately, Miranda is convinced that Brady and Lily are “hooking up” and calls Charlotte, horrified at the idea of them together.

Miranda and Charlotte then spend Charlotte’s charity tournament observing Brady and Lily interacting. As the digital camera pans to them, they trade giggles and casually talk in a nook, making their mothers much more suspicious. Then, when Charlotte and Miranda tell Carrie that they believe Lily and Brady are having intercourse, she takes the phrases out of our mouths when she says, “That’s like learning two of my stuffed animals are having intercourse.” Yes, Carrie, sure!

LILY X BRADY ?!?!?!?! THEYRE LITERALLY COUSINS WHAT THE- ?!?!?!?! pic.twitter.com/aIEZBT9lGj

Brady and Lily need to leave each different by myself. At this point, Charlotte and Miranda are sisters, so this simply reeks of mess.

Brady and Lily each recently got their hearts damaged, so why make your “cousin” (once more, I must tension, they’re now not blood-related) of all folks your rebound? What occurs when either or both of them make a decision they don’t like one every other that manner? Won’t outings, family get-togethers, or the rest this workforce does grow to be awkward?

Brady is also on his option to college, and someone who attempted creating a long-distance courting work right through their first 12 months of college knows that’s a wash (apart from for a number of trustworthy lovebirds, after all).

Additionally, as we came upon in the episode, Lily and Brady aren’t in a position to move public with what may or might not be going down. If this was once a one-time thing and AJLT made me balk for no reason, I am much more satisfied that Brady and Lily shouldn’t occur — not now, not in long term seasons, now not ever!
