His grandfather inspired his dream, and Kelly joined within the project. They ultimately moved again to Waco so Kelly could pursue a master's level and had a laborious time getting by means of — till Clint met Chip at a fuel station in 2012.
Upon meeting the Gaines circle of relatives, Clint and his wife have invested their lives in home restoration.
Speaking to Country Living, Clint describes the kismet that allowed the Harps to start out on their adventure to all issues DIY. He says, "I never would have met Chip at that gas station if it wasn't for my wife and me deciding to go on this journey because of things that went right and things that went wrong and incredible sadness and joy and struggle."
Kelly was once best in a single or two episodes of Fixer Upper, but their show Wood Work highlights their partnership and mutual hobby in renovation and design. The display options Clint building custom furniture for a house, and Kelly will design a room or two around the piece for clients. This method, there is no force to redesign a whole house, and each members of the staff get to do what they love.
