Evidently, Dollar Tree may be very DIY on the subject of testing.

In an empty Dollar Tree in parts unknown, one brave customer took it upon themselves to keep the shop going when there have been seemingly no workers around. A lady who is going by way of @misslate004 on TikTok documented what felt like a dystopian long run, where no one was once minding the shop.

Her TikTok in short scans the aisles devoid of people, but absolutely stocked with merchandise. If I used to be feeling philosophical, I might observation on the fact that this sends a transparent message about how we as people ceaselessly price issues greater than people. Our retail outlets are full, but our hearts stay empty.

At the tail end of the video, we hear a single Dollar Tree employee's voice declare they'd been there the whole time. Where is "there" exactly? If there is an employees-only room in the shop, does that rely as being there? The TikTok confirmed zero Dollar Tree employees. The note of panic in the employee's voice tells me they were stuck slacking.

People in the comments had much to mention about this.

My reaction in this situation can be solely dependent upon how briefly I had to get in and out of that Dollar Tree. Context matters! If I used to be in a rush, I would be very frustrated. If I did not have any place else to be, I might for sure be extremely amused. One woman spoke back that she would have walked out together with her stuff. That's one possibility!

A few Dollar Tree workers jumped in with some very helpful information. "As someone who used to work for DT, the girl behind the register is more than likely a cashier. After so long the machine will sign you out." That is until the device turns into self-aware again, in a dystopian future.

The alleged customer behind the check in is dressed in a gray shirt which could be why @misslate004 idea she was once no longer an employee. However, Dollar Tree employees no longer have a uniform. "Sometimes they will allow you to wear back to school color shirts, holiday shirts, etc.," spoke back one TikToker. "Normally it will be posted in the office."

Regarding the one employee, @Kristian0220 had some insight about that. "I worked for Dollar Tree for a week a long time ago," she revealed. There was "one person on each shift and they expect you to stock and clean in-between customers." Yikes! Hopefully that isn't true. Regardless, someone undoubtedly loved their time at the sign up that day, worker or now not.
