The look forward to Season 3 of Stranger Things is after all over. The Netflix series is chock-full of ‘80s nostalgia (including the unhealthy hair), OMG-moments, exploding rats, and numerous showmances. At the end of ultimate season, fans watched as many of our primary solid of children were paired off with an important different, excluding Dustin (played by means of Gaten Matarazzo). But, as the sci-fi sequence promised, one summer season can exchange everything.

When Dustin joins his buddies again in Hawkins, he tells his buddies about his new girlfriend that he met at sleep-away science camp, Camp Know Where. He can’t prevent gushing about how beautiful and sensible his girlfriend is, however finds they've to keep in touch secretly because she lives in Utah and is derived from a very strict Mormon family. 

When he tries to introduce her to the group by the use of his radio equipment, she never responds … so is she even real?!

Well, turns out Dustin was no longer mendacity and Suzie is actually in a dating with the teenager. Dustin is totally smitten with his new crush and is elated that she doesn’t mind that his teeth haven’t even grown in but. So, why is Dustin missing his front teeth? 

Here’s why Dustin is missing his entrance teeth in Stranger Things:

If you’re keen on the preferred sci-fi drama, than you understand in Season 1 of Stranger Things that Dustin has cleidocranial dysplasia (he even explains it on the show), which is a medical condition that affects the advance of bones and teeth. The character trait used to be based totally off of Gaten’s real-life diagnosis of the similar condition.

In a 2018 interview on The Doctors, Gaten talked about living with CCD in real-life. “It’s one of the most biggest the explanation why I [hadn’t] been getting roles, because of my lisp, and the teeth scenario, and my top,” he mentioned. 

The Duffer Brothers were so impressed with the actor’s audition that they requested Gaten if they may incorporate it into the collection. 

“Once I got the phase, they said they’re gonna incorporate that and use it in a practical approach. They asked me if it was okay if the youngsters in the show had bullied me because of it. I stated it’s completely cool. It’s real looking,” he said. Well, Dustin’s growl has without a doubt change into an iconic trademark in Stranger Things.  

Though his personality is missing his entrance teeth in Season 3 (more than likely to stay with the continuity of the sequence), IRL Gaten now has pearly whites … and he’s not shy in the case of appearing them off. “Just letting you guys know. These teeth are fake. #toothless,” he captioned an Instagram selfie in 2016.

Aside from dressed in pretend teeth, Dustin has passed through multiple surgeries to tug down his genuine teeth that have not but grown in. “Surgery quantity three......yippee,” he captioned a pic of himself on the dentist this past March. We’re satisfied Gaten shed light on folks struggling with CCD.
