Mike made a good effort to sell the cars and the property, putting it all up on the market for $1.19 million in 2016. When there have been no takers, he raised the cost slightly to $1.45 in 2017, and all at once caught the attention of collectors and video manufacturers who wanted to profile this man with four hundred useless cars in his yard.
Rust Valley Restorers is not the most successful trade.
Once he used to be propelled into the public eye after his be offering went viral, Tyson Hepburn, who had labored with Mike in a Discovery Canada display referred to as Highway Thru Hell, decided to pitch him for his own collection.
With the objective of celebrating Canadian automobile tradition of the Shuswap communities east of Kamloops, which he calls Rust Valley in the collection, the eight-episode first season facilities on Mike's new trade, Rust Bros Restoration, where he attempts to repair some of these vintage automobiles for local lovers.

"This shop just about killed me," he said, in keeping with The Globe and Mail. "I've spent close to two million bucks of my money," he says on the show.
"Invested. Invested, not spent," Mike briefly corrects himself. "I've invested [$2 million] in my metallic hallucinations."
While Mike's hobby might now not make for the most efficient marketing strategy, we are hopeful this TV sequence, and the Netflix deal that adopted, have helped him get better some of the ones price range and produce his net value again up to the place it used to be before.
