On Feb. 11, 1981, Kelly Rowland was once born in Atlanta, Ga. to mom Doris Rowland Garrison and dad Christopher Lovett, in line with Biography.com. When Kelly was once 7, Doris left Christopher and moved to Houston, Texas.
Fortunately for Kelly, who had a penchant for making a song, this move did wonders for her profession. There, she met any other budding songstress named Beyoncé Knowles. The girls turned into very shut and began operating together.
It's unclear why, however Beyoncé's parents, Matthew and Tina, equipped legal guardianship for Kelly when she was once rising up. Still, Doris stayed extremely close with Kelly as her music career took off.

"I was angry at him. I was disappointed in him. I had all of those feelings of abandonment," she endured, including that she sought after nothing to do with him for a long time. She had even asked her safety teams to kick him out if he ever determined to attend considered one of her displays.
Kelly Rowland's mother kicked the bucket in 2014 from a center attack.
In 2014, Kelly and her husband Tim Weatherspoon welcomed their first kid together, son Titan Jewell. Three weeks after his beginning, Doris kicked the bucket from a middle attack.
Kelly was devastated. "I think I had these feelings of like, 'Oh my God, I have no parents," she mentioned. "And it was like, no, you do — you have one left."
Kelly decided it used to be time to in the end take a seat down with her father. In October 2018, they met up in a hotel in Atlanta. "Before I walked in, I had all these thoughts of what I was gonna say, I had all these questions lined up," she instructed TODAY. "And as soon as I saw his face, it was a blank."
