And manufacturing had no longer but resumed through October 2020, when Showtime renewed the show for a 6th season. At the time, Deadline speculated that the solid and group would start filming Season 6 instantly after the rest episodes of Season 5.

Now, more than a 12 months after Season 5 went on hiatus, a Reddit user commented that it used to be “jarring” to peer Paul — who plays New York Attorney General Chuck Rhoades Jr. — looking so different.

“He lost a bit of of weight, shaved off the beard (after a lot of years), misplaced a bit of hair (proper on the most sensible of the head), and his hair is now all white,” that viewer noticed. “All those adjustments in his appearance, which just about all people are seeing without delay for the first time in over a 12 months, make for a huge affect.”

Paul’s co-star David Costabile, who plays Mike “Wags” Wagner on the show, told Extra in July that he had “no concept” how Paul dropped the pounds.

“Maybe he simply fasted the entire pandemic,” David quipped. “I decided to stay the beard and upload weight. I added all of Paul’s weight. That’s an approach to life choice.”

Showtime’s boss said viewers can soar proper again in to the show’s 5th season.

Gary Levine, Showtime Networks’ president of leisure, informed journalists of the Television Critics Association final month that Season 5’s sudden ruin received’t affect its narrative arc.

“We did make a couple of changes in capturing the last five episodes post-pandemic to allow for taking pictures in a virus,” he mentioned. “Story-wise, we stayed true to the original plan. Having noticed the ones five episodes, they come back simply shot out of a cannon, and you're instantly thrown back into the story — no need to review the sooner episodes.”

Levine also showed that the cast and workforce did indeed film the remaining 5 episodes of Season 5 back-to-back with Season 6, which will premiere this January. “We felt guilty for the audience to have to attend so long as they did to see the rest of Season 5, so we and the remainder of the manufacturers just put our heads down and mentioned, ‘Just plow ahead,’” he explained.
