Baby Yoda, aka Grogu, broke hearts all over when Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) revealed in The Mandalorian Season 2 that Grogu was at the Jedi Temple when Order 66 used to be carried out. During Grogu's training with Luke Skywalker in The Book of Boba Fett Episode 6, Luke tapped into Grogu's memory bank. And what Grogu remembered was terrifying.

Grogu's flashback involved him looking on in fear as three mysterious Jedi attempted to protect him from a swath of Stormtroopers. Sadly, the 3 Jedi perceived to perish of their try, and we see the Stormtroopers advancing against Grogu after the Jedi fall. As of now, it is still a thriller as to how Grogu controlled to flee the Jedi Temple that terrible day. How did he live on Order 66?

Theory: Grogu is saved through a Jedi no one expects.

There has been a plethora of great theories available in the market on the net about how Grogu survived Order 66. While it undoubtedly would've been cool if Mace Windu (Samuel L. Jackson) used to be the one to save lots of Grogu, we think the most simple theory is also the possibly one.

It's by no means been made explicitly transparent where Grogu was within the Jedi Temple when the assault came about. We all know is that Anakin (well, Darth Vader by way of this point) slaughtered many of the younglings on the Temple, so how did he not sense Grogu?

Did Grogu set up to slide away not noted by the time the Jedi died protecting him? Or it was once Anakin himself who spared everybody's favorite little green man? Personally, we expect Grogu's survival may have been a combination of sheer success and a sign of Anakin's conscience still flickering within the fallen Jedi's soul.

Anakin? The Anakin Skywalker that just slaughtered all of the Padawans?

Anakin's slaughter of the younglings at the Jedi Temple is really that heel-turn second in Revenge of the Sith. That was the moment that demonstrated that Anakin Skywalker was once dying, and it was Darth Vader that killed him. However, what if Anakin wasn't in reality long past just yet on the Jedi Temple? What if he had a shred of tangible remorse left in him?

Hear us out: We assume Grogu attempted to flee the temple but bumped into Anakin just as he concept he used to be safe. However, Grogu hastily discovered Anakin frozen in disgust over his own murderous movements. In a second of authentic, untarnished empathy, Grogu reached out to him, and Anakin Skywalker let him move. In that second, the phrases of Padme and Luke rung true — there was once still excellent in Anakin.

Will we ever get to look what in fact took place?

We likely may not get the solution to how Grogu survived Order 66 within the Season 1 finale of The Book of Boba Fett. However, it would be nice to finally get a proof someday during The Mandalorian Season 3. After all, Grogu has a very powerful choice to make first...
