If you take note Cristy Lee from her time on MotorTrend’s All Girls Garage and Garage Squad, it’ll come as little wonder that her new HGTV show, Steal This House, is filmed in Detroit, the automotive mecca that “put the arena on wheels,” as the adage goes.

But as you’ll see when Steal This House premieres this night, Saturday, July 9, at 9 p.m. ET on HGTV, Cristy isn’t solving up vehicles: She’s proving that fixer-upper properties in reality will also be “steals.”

“Known for her experience fixing cars, vehicles and bikes, Cristy will observe her distinctive skills to personalize clients’ houses with custom facilities, together with fabricating steel work for hearth surrounds and kitchen hoods and repurposing wood to create a one-of-a-kind 3D map,” HGTV teases in a synopsis.

‘Steal This House’ is the newest HGTV show to film in the Detroit space.
