Philip explains on the show that his mom passed on to the great beyond while he used to be young, and his father wasn't around much, so his older brother, Kahan, changed into his felony mum or dad following her demise. On Love Without Borders, Philip is sent to Ghana to find his match, Carmen, and hopes that she has the similar concepts about family and children that he does!
