Who is White Dragon in 'Peacemaker'?

White Dragon first arrives in DC Comics in 1987's Suicide Squad #4. Created by way of John Ostrander and Luke McDonnell, White Dragon is a character utilized by a number of supervillains, in particular those associated with racism and white supremacy. Not to say, in step with the DC Fandom web page, the name White Dragon references the Ku Klux Klan, aka the white supremacist terrorist group based totally in the United States.

The supervillains who've assumed the notorious White Dragon legacy include William Heller, a Neo-Nazi racist who budget and paperwork white supremacist teams. Another White Dragon iteration is Daniel Ducannon, a white supremacist racist who tries to eliminate minorities.

But, in the Peacemaker streaming series, White Dragon is none rather then Peacemaker's hypermasculine racist father, August "Auggie" Smith (Robert Patrick).

Auggie's White Dragon expose comes all the way through Episode 2, in which the workforce of A.R.G.U.S. agents manages to keep Peacemaker, whose real title is Christopher Smith, out of prison for homicide. Instead, John Economos (Steve Agee) changes Peacemaker's car and fingerprints to sign up under Auggie's identification; in consequence, Auggie will get arrested for a murder he didn't devote.

While in prison, Auggie takes a seat on his favorite bench, and a group of white supremacists gather round him, hailing Auggie as the White Dragon.

What are White Dragon's powers?

If we're being fair, White Dragon doesn't have any distinctive powers — he's more so an experienced marksman and in a position to dealing with shut combat. Rather than his wickedness emanating from his lifestyles as a metahuman, White Dragon's villainous goal derives from his ideology, like Lex Luthor.

Based on what we now have seen up to now of Auggie in Peacemaker, it doesn't appear to be he is all at once going to develop superhuman powers. Like his White Dragon predecessors, Auggie will most likely create a white supremacist motion, with the help of his followers, that threatens all minorities.

So, how will this tie into the overall storyline with Project Butterfly? We are not sure right now, however it is imaginable that the series comprises two vital conflicts that must get to the bottom of via the finish of Season 1. If that is the case, Peacemaker and his gang are in for a impolite awakening.

The first three episodes of Peacemaker are actually streaming solely on HBO Max. New episodes drop Wednesdays.
